In early March we decided that since we'd been unable to find Bud's owners, we'd try to find him a new home. When we took him to the vet it was discovered that he has heartworms. After many phone calls and much agonizing over what to do, we found a couple of terrific friends to help out with the cost and were able to have Bud treated on March 23/05.
Our heartfelt thanks to Tanja and JM! Thank you also to Southside Animal Hospital, Griffin GA for providing Heartworm treatment at much more affordable rates than any other place around here. And thank you to all the nice folks at various resuce groups that I talked to for all of your suggestions and moral support.
