Tutorial for editing File Associations in Windows

Sorry...these captures aren't the best.. Did 'em in a hurry. LOL

This tutorial uses CSS files as an example. If you need to change a different file association, change the files you choose in steps 4 and 7 accordingly...

  1. Open Windows Explorer
  2. Go View/Folder Options
  3. Click on the "File Types" tab
  4. Scroll down and select "Cascading Style Sheet Document"
    Folder Options
  5. Click on "Edit" button
  6. On the next screen click "Edit" button again.
    Edit the action
  7. When the next screen opens, click the "Browse" button and go find notepad.exe (it's in Windows)
    change to notepad.exe
  8. Click "Open" button, then "OK" your way out of there...

Now css documents will open in notepad...
