Tutorial for editing File Associations in Windows
Sorry...these captures aren't the best.. Did 'em in a hurry. LOL
This tutorial uses CSS files as an example. If you need to change a different file association,
change the files you choose in steps 4 and 7 accordingly...
- Open Windows Explorer
- Go View/Folder Options
- Click on the "File Types" tab
- Scroll down and select "Cascading Style Sheet Document"

- Click on "Edit" button
- On the next screen click "Edit" button again.

- When the next screen opens, click the "Browse" button and go find
notepad.exe (it's in Windows)

- Click "Open" button, then "OK" your way out of there...
Now css documents will open in notepad...
